An award-winning communications RockStar, Alex’s experience spans brand-building, content and creative strategy, product development and project management. Alex stepped into marketing and communications as a copywriter at Diaz & Cooper Advertising before taking his talent to United Way Worldwide. As Manager of Stakeholder Communications, he drove brand experience and mission execution through the identification and development of strategic partnerships, including Red Nose Day USA with NBC and Comic Relief, MyFreeTaxes with Walmart, Goodwill and National Disability Institute, and several initiatives with the NFL. His success with United Way Worldwide took him to the Big Apple, where he served as Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications for United Way of New York City—successfully leading public relations, marketing, and social media for over three years.
A Miami native and NY Nonprofit News 40 Under 40: Rising Star, Alex manages LATAM, U.S. Hispanic, and general market communications campaigns for clients ranging from tech to consumer products and nonprofits. Alex is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a fiction writer, and bibliophile.
